“Express” is the name of the network on which you will build your own Northeastern WordPress sites. This network is managed by the hosting company CampusPress. If you have used the Northeastern-hosted “NUWeb” environment in the past, CampusPress/Express is a different WordPress hosting environment which will assign your new site an Express domain of: sites.northeastern.edu/sitename.
Select your site URL. Select a site name that is descriptive and easy to recall. The URL cannot contain any special characters, spaces, capitalization, etc. Example: URL ending – “summertravel.”
The URL cannot be changed after a site is created.
Title your site. The site title is the title visitors see at the top of your site, and can be more formal and descriptive. Example: “My Summer Travel Site”
You can always change the title later.
Agree to the Terms of Service and select the “I’m not a robot” checkbox.
Click Create a Site.
You’re all done! After completing the form successfully, WordPress may take up to a minute to build out your site, displaying the message, “We’re setting up your new blog. Please wait…” After this process completes, you will be redirected to your WordPress dashboard. We recommend bookmarking this URL for editing and building your site. If your site is not created, it is likely because there is an issue with the URL you are trying to create. If you receive an error message, or have any other issue preventing your site creation, please refer to the Contact section below.
